Clinical Impact:

• Detection of functional & non-functional lung with ¹²⁹Xe Ventilation and Gas Exchange MRI maps
• Using these maps, we can adapt standard radiation therapy for lung cancer to avoid giving radiation to high functioning lung
• ¹²⁹Xe MRI acquired between treatments can help assess acute lung injury and further adapt treatment
• This technique has the potential to improve patient outcomes long-term
